MEET THE CLASS OF 2023

ROBERT L. BANKS, III: Robert will pursue a professional fighting career in Taekwondo while furthering his education at the University of Maryland Global Campus to have the flexibility to travel to compete and build his US and World rankings. He dreams to compete in the 2028 Olympics. He’ll pursue a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing, with a plan of opening his own Taekwondo studio.

KATE BRIGHT: Following her graduation from LaPlata High School, Kate will serve as a summer intern at a chemistry lab in Palo Alto, CA. In the fall she’ll enter Emory University, Atlanta, as a chemistry major, with the ultimate goal of helping people through a career in the biomedical field.

MORIYAH DAVIS: Moriyah is graduating from Maurice J. McDonough High School and will be attending Morgan State University in pursuit of her first degree. She is determined to be an innovative computer scientist making major impact in the world of technology.

JOELLE DORSEY: Joelle will attend Stevenson University in the fall, where she has been accepted into the honors program, majoring in Film and Moving Image with a minor in Psychology and Child Development. Her professional focus will be on entrepreneurship and small business development.

CONNOR HUFF: Connor graduates from North Point High School with plans to join Local 26 IBEW electrical apprenticeship in the fall and attain his electrical license. He plans to then attend schooling for his electrical engineering degree where he dreams to start his own business someday in the future.

ELIANA MANGUM: Elaina is pursuing a degree in Technology and Information Design at UMD, College Park. Her ultimate goal is to combine her knowledge, creativity, and skills to become a Creative Director knowledgeable in the front and back ends of media and design.

HAVEN MAYS: Haven Mays is attending Towson University where he will be studying Music Performance with a concentration in Jazz composition. His dream is to perform for audiences worldwide and to eventually return to Southern Maryland and open a performing arts studio in his hometown.

JOLIE PRASAD: Jolie is attending James Madison University in the fall pursuing a degree in Music Performance (Double Bass) as well as Music Education and Chemistry.  With a thirst for knowledge and passion for the arts, she hopes to inspire others to become involved in the arts and to educate future generations.

AWJANAI TAWIAH: Awjanai is has aspirations of becoming a professional pilot. This fall, she will attend the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to pursue a Bachelor of Science in the field of Aviation. Awjanai hopes to fly for Delta Airlines upon completion of her degree.

MIREYA TORRES: Mireya will continue to grow her own small business while planning to study studio art at Bowie State University. She is pursuing a career as an animator and storyboard artist to one day work for DreamWorks or Netflix.

 

MEET THE CLASS OF 2022

TJ BODAMER: TJ Bodamer is a 2022 graduate of North Point High School. In August, TJ will be furthering his education at Eastern University where he will major in Business, minor in Leadership, and continue as a student athlete on the Men's Lacrosse team.

JEAN CARIAS: A graduate of Westlake, Jean dreams of becoming a film director. He seeks to inspire others in the production and shooting of a major motion picture one day.

DARRIAN CARTER: Darrian is headed to McDaniel College in the fall. He plans to start his online business after getting a degree in finance and entrepreneurship.

ALAINAH D’ONOFRIO: Alainah will be attending the College of Southern Maryland for her associates degree and then transferring to Penn State for her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She hopes to earn her master’s degree to become a licensed therapist.

RJ GORE: While at Westlake High, RJ joined Stethem's Automotive program. He is currently employed as a mechanic and intends to keep doing that work while pursuing his automotive certifications. He has been accepted into the Automotive programs at UTI in Exton, PA and Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD.

DELIGH JADEN JACKS: Deligh is a graduate of Thomas Stone High School. He plans to attend Kent State University in the fall and will pursue fashion design in order to create and own multiple clothing brands.

JAYDEN LINDSEY: Jayden will attend Loyola University to pursue a degree in Computer Science. His ultimate goal is to use his knowledge, creativity and skills to become a computer game designer.

BLYTHE MCCAMMON: Blythe McCammon is graduating from North Point High School.  She will be attending Towson University in the fall to study Violin Performance. She hopes to travel the world and share her love of music as a professional violinist.

LUCIANO SARAVIA: Luciano was born in Argentina and is a first-generation college student and entrepreneur. He plans to attend the University of Maryland to major in business administration with a minor in psychology.

ANAYAH WEST: A graduate from Westlake High School, Anayah plans to pursue her dream of opening her very own restaurant and bakery. Anayah wants to earn a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

 

MEET THE CLASS OF 2021

ANDREW FICK: Andrew graduated from North Point High School and is off to the University of Miami in the fall. He grew up helping his family at the Blue Dog Saloon in Port Tobacco and now plans to major in marketing and minor in filmmaking.

ARIEN GATLING: Graduating from St. Charles High School, Arien is planning to start at Bowie State University to study cybersecurity. He hopes to transfer to finish his degree at Towson University in the future.

WILLIAM MCRAE: William was in Carter’s collision repair program at North Point High School. After graduating, he is off to Universal Technical Institute in Long Beach, California to continue his credentialing in collision repair.

LEO MIDDLETON: Leo was a close friend to Carter and is spending lots of time at GT Aviation flight school as he builds on his pilot's license and earns addition ratings, including his Commercial Pilot’s License. Soon, he will be working toward his aviation science degree from Utah Valley University.

OLUJIMI OJO-ADE: Olujimi is another North Point High School graduate heading to Howard University in the fall. His passion is found in art and fashion. He will be pursuing that passion by studying design at Howard.

DEZMOND ROSIER: Dezmond is graduating from La Plata High School and is off to Howard University. He plans to study political science and pre-law while maintaining his passion for community organizing and advocacy. Look for his name on an election ballot one day!

MYLES SCOTT: After Myles graduates from North Point High School, he is off to Sarasota, Florida to take his passion for art to Ringling College of Art and Design. He is planning to study animation and virtual reality development.

OLIVER TORRALBA: Graduating from St. Charles High School, Oliver is attending Towson University in the fall. He is a graphic designer with a focus on video editing and will pursue a business administration degree.

KASEY WHARTON: Kasey is graduating from North Point High School and will attend Howard University, following a line of his siblings who are HBCU graduates. He is planning to study mechanical engineering.

QI YONG WU: Qi is graduating from North Point High School and is planning to join the ROTC Program and study International Relations at the University of San Francisco with a goal of traveling the world and serving as a diplomat.

 

MEET THE CLASS OF 2020

KAYLA BERRY: Kayla graduated from the welding program at North Point, and is planning a career as a professional welding engineer. She will be attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology this fall, pursuing a Bachelors Degree.

OSEI CARTLEDGE: A graduate of Thomas Stone, Osei plans to attend Bowie State University in the fall and work toward a business degree that he can couple with his skills and passion for drawing, design, and art.

KATELYN COMER: Katelyn graduated from Lackey High School and is heading to CSM in the fall. She plans to earn a degree that will allow her to follow her passions related to art and helping others.

DARIAN GALLOWAY: Darian graduated from Westlake High School and is off to Morgan State University to study Information Systems and Business Administration and play football for the Bears.

LIAM HEYL: Liam graduated from McDonough and pursuing his dream to become a professional actor. He was selected to attend the the prestigious Shenandoah Conservatory of the Arts in Virginia, beginning fall 2020.

MADISON PRASAD: Madison graduated from North Point High School and is pursuing her passions to perform and ignite a fire in others with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Florida Southern College.

MARC QUEEN: Marc graduated from St. Charles High School. He is an avid gamer and hoping to study computer science and cybersecurity in college.

KYLE RICHARDSON: Kyle graduated from St. Charles High School and is heading off to Virginia Beach to attend the Automotive and Light Duty Diesel program at the Advanced Technology Institute.

ROYAL SEVERE: A graduate of Westlake High School, Royal is determined to earn a bachelor’s degree in Baking and Pastry Art and Food Business Management at the Culinary Institute of America and open a restaurant and bakery to provide treats to those with allergies and dietary restrictions.

DEVEN WIGHTMAN: A graduate of Lackey High School, Deven is planning to travel to England to pursue club soccer and formal education to become an entrepreneur and fashion designer.
